In 1991, after a long stay in Conakry, capital city of Guinea, Mireille, a native of Limousin, France, arrived in St. Martin. While in Africa, she showed a deep interest for active cosmopolitan life. Because of the precarious political situation, Mireille was searching for a new paradise, she found it in the great West Indies.

Saint-Martin, known as the smallest piece of land shared by two countries: French territory and Dutch territory, was for her “love at first sight”. She now manages a charming Guest House named La Caravelle and located at Oyster Pond’s Bay.
